McKinney-Vento
DMV CAB’s model allows districts to quickly respond to the needs of MKV students. Proprietary routing software and dedicated client teams accommodate the challenges of transporting these dynamic students.
Hard-to-Serve Trips
The appropriate vehicle is critical when transporting as few as one student traveling to a remote area of your district or delivering a handful of students living along a rural route.
Students Traveling Out-of-District
Utilizing smaller vehicles is a cost-effective solution that promotes a consistent environment for students with unique needs requiring them to attend specialized schools outside your district.
Students with Special Needs
Seating arrangements, wheelchair accessibility, and the need for additional personnel are critical factors when identifying the appropriate vehicle to meet the needs of that one student.
Vehicles
We work hard to make sure each vehicle meets the unique needs of each student. Our EverSafe Drivers drive SUVs, wheelchair-accessible vans, minivans, and sedans compliant with federal, state, and local student transportation regulations.
DMV CAB is the only alternative transportation company that requires all vehicles to pass a 50+ Point Inspection conducted by our own team AND an annual 3rd party inspection. Our 50+ Point Inspection includes an assessment of a vehicle’s interior/exterior condition and safety equipment.
In addition to the above, all vehicles must:
- Meet seating requirements based on vehicle type
- Have proof of registration
- Be equipped with proper safety equipment
Drivers
In order to meet the SafeRide Standard, EverSafe Drivers must satisfy up to 18 screening requirements before becoming SafeRide Certified and eligible to drive a single student. This includes:
- Federal, state, and local background checks
- Enrollment in a drug and alcohol consortium for pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and random testing
- County, State, and National Criminal Record Check
- Sex Offender Registration Check
- Proof of Insurance
- Complete PASS Training
Once SafeRide Certified, EverSafe Drivers are ready to hit the road with the support of our local field operations and routing teams and our state-of-the-art Driver App. Combining the human element with innovative technology helps EverSafe Drivers safely and efficiently serve trips.

Your source for specific DMV CAB tools and reports. Features include, real-time trip tracking, storing of essential student information, reviewing past trips, and more.
Driver App
Our driver app provides drivers with the trip details they need to safely provide transportation for students and real-time data regarding trip progress and arrival times to our Student Monitoring & Tracking team for complete visuality of their trip.
VIP App
Guardians can have access to driver and vehicle information, real-time tracking of students, and easily cancel transportation up to 2-hours before a scheduled pick-up time.
